Treatment of coronary heart disease with surgical procedures

Treatment of coronary heart disease with surgical procedures, In addition to the use of drugs, you can also undergo surgical procedures as a way to treat coronary heart disease. Some of the medical procedures that you can undergo include:

Treatment of coronary heart disease with surgical procedures

1. Angioplasty and insertion of a heart ring (stent)

In the procedure, the doctor will insert a catheter or a long thin tube into the artery. Then, a wire accompanied by a special balloon is inserted into the narrowed artery through the catheter. The balloon is then inflated, pressing the plaque against the artery wall.

Usually, from this process, the doctor will place a permanent heart ring on the narrowed artery to help keep it open. Most of the time, the heart rings are fitted with medication to help maximize its function to keep the arteries open.

2. Heart bypass surgery

According to an article published in the Mayo Clinic, one method of surgery that can also be performed as a treatment for coronary heart disease is heart bypass surgery.

In this operation, the doctor will create a 'shortcut' by cutting a blood vessel in another part of the body and sewing it between the aorta and the part of the coronary artery above the blocked blood vessel.

This certainly can help restore blood flow to the heart, because blood flow does not need to pass through the narrowed or blocked blood vessels.

Healthy lifestyle to support coronary heart treatment

Healthy lifestyle

In addition to the use of drugs, both chemical drugs and herbal medicines for coronary heart disease, and medical procedures that you can undergo, there are some lifestyle changes in an effort to maintain heart health as a natural treatment. Well, if you have just been diagnosed with CHD, then make sure to do the following:

1. Cardiac rehabilitation

After surgery, your doctor will likely suggest you go to rehabilitation. The doctor will also warn you of some do's and don'ts during this process to maximize healing.

The function of rehabilitation is to help you recover quickly and resume normal activities as possible. During this time you will also learn how to handle emergency situations in recovery.

The rehabilitation period is also useful for you and your family to know how to deal with physical, emotional, or psychological problems that can occur after a CHD diagnosis.

After completing rehab, it is important that you continue to adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle to help protect your health and reduce your risk of heart problems.

Acid Reflux Treatment: Less Is More

Before you set up a doctor’s appointment and start taking the latest fad acid reflux treatment drug, take some time to consider another approach to regaining optimal health. Not only have the latest heartburn drugs not been tested thoroughly or for a long enough period of time to be deemed completely safe, but there are simpler ways to heal the body. The first principle I’d like to discuss is that of trust. The body is fully capable of healing itself if given half a chance.  When we fill it up with chemicals, dyes and sugar we’re only making it more difficult for it to do its job. When we trust our bodies to do what is in their nature to do for us, we can let go and focus our energies on other things.  The human body is a masterpiece that has been fine tuned for survival over millions and millions of years. All we have to do to keep it in tip tp shape is provide it with a few basic things. Our bodies needs sleep as well as clean air, water and food.  In times of personal ...
